In a previous post I waxed lyrical about the powermonkey gadget charger. I loved it, but I am now preparing to divorce my cheeky little chimp, and leave it for something even better, her big sister – the PowerMonkey Explorer!
PowerMonkey Explorer
As you can see, the one big difference is the addition of a solar panel to charge the battery pack. This a great idea for those times that you can’t get to a power socket. A small green LED glows when the panel is receiving charge and when plugged into the battery pack, and the NEW LCD panel on the pack indicates that it is charging when receiving rays from the sun. It also tells you the current status of the unit.
The LCD panel is NEW
This gadget also comes with a mains plug (and international adaptors), and a USB charging lead. As you would expect, you also get a plethora of “tips” that will enable you to charge many types of mobile phone, PSP (or Sony PRS505 E-reader), iPod/iPhone, any item with a mini USB port. Everything is contained in a very swish travel case.
I really like this unit and will be buying this for various gadget friends over the coming months. Avaliable for under £50 from here!
