I’ve had my iPhone now for nearly 7 months. It’s under contract with 02 and I have seen absolutely NO reason to mess about and jailbreak it. Until now that is.
The first reason is the imminent arrival of my new MSI Wind (I want to be able to tether my iPhone to it, and use it as a modem), the other is that BOXEE have released a remote control app for the iPhone.
I do find the Apple remote quite difficult to use sometimes, especially if my apple TV is hidden behind a pile of Xbox games. So, the perfect solution is the ability to control the beautiful app that is Boxee, with the one device that doesn’t leave my side – my iPhone.

It uses the local network to locate the Apple TV with Boxee running and presents you with a very easy to use interface, along with another page with the ability to jump to the middle of a film, pause, play, and to view a cover art picture of what’s playing.
This indispensable App is available from CYDIA on your Jailbroken iPhone (or iPod Touch).
