I’ve had an iPhone now for just over a year. A jailbroken 1st gen, then since July 11th, a 2nd Gen on an O2 contract. One of the best things about the latest release is the fact you can download additional programmes to get even more from what is, in my opinion, the best phone on the market today.
I think I have about 20 apps on my iPhone, but the most used is AroundMe by Tweakersoft. This is a small app that uses the iPhone’s built-in GPS to locate where you are, and then using a simple, clean interface, highlight the nearest Cafe, Supermarket, Bank, Bar, etc
A list of, say, Coffee Bars, will then be displayed, nearest to you first. Select the one that appeals, then the address and phone number ae shown. The phone number can be touched to dial the number directly from the iPhone.
But it doesn’t stop there.
This great app will also show you how to get there using Google maps. You can email the location or even add it to your contacts.
A real asset to your armory of “things to show what your iPhone can do!”
The price?? FREE!!!!!
